Our mirror acrylic is a versatile material, ideal for model making, craft work, DIY projects and signs. Each 3mm thick mirror acrylic sheet gives a flawless mirror reflection, it's strong, lightweight and shatter resistant making it a brilliant alternative to glass mirror. These mirror acrylic sheets are made from a sheet of clear acrylic with a matte grey coating on one side; this grey coating creates the reflective mirror which can be seen through the other side of the acrylic.
Top tip: The matte grey finish can be engraved away to leave a transparent area, this can be painted with colour and seen from the front of the mirror giving an awesome effect with endless possibilities for those with an artistic flare.
Mirror acrylic is water resistant however, we don't recommend putting it through a dishwasher as the grey coating on the back can get damaged, we always recommend to hand wash only.
Mirror acrylic is safe to use on laser cutters and engravers however, we recommend only engraving on the non-reflective side. Please note that each sheet comes coated with a thin protective film on the reflective side, this film must be removed to reveal the crystal clear reflection of the material, however we recommend leaving this film on whilst laser cutting and engraving to protect the surface from being damaged during production.
Mirror acrylic can be UV printed, however it must only be printed on the non-reflective side, as the reflective side will reflect the UV light back onto the print head and may damage the machine. We recommend engraving the non-reflective side and then printing over it.
